Update added 17/05/08
Because of website updates associated with the FindSpot map links, some changes to the FindSpot configuration file are needed.
1. Make a copy of the \FSpot\Fspot.ini file, normally
under the c:\Program Files directory.
2. Open the original Fspot.ini file.
3. Overwrite the corresponding lines in your Fspot.ini file with the lines below.
The easiest method is to copy & paste.
OldMapHtmlString=http://www.old-maps.co.uk/indexmappage2.aspx?action=forcexy
OldNorthString=&northing=
OldEastString=&easting=
NewMapHtmlString=http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?scale=25000&mapsize=big&icon=x
NewNorthString=&gridn=
NewEastString=&gride=
5. Save your Fspot.ini file.

Download FindSpot 1.2.1 Beta (Full Install) Zip 5 Mb released 16/06/06
If you're new to FindSpot then you don't have to worry about the rest of this. Just download 1.2.1 full install and away you go.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Download FindSpot 1.2.0 Beta (Full Install) Zip 5 Mb released 04/03/06
The patches below are to be run in order of release, after the full install above.
1.2.1 Patch released 12/03/06. Please read install.txt in the downloaded file.
Fixes an image record location problem in the FindSpot database.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.
Changes in 1.2.0
Grid View. Saves having to click
through every record before you get to the one you want.
Map markers. locations/records are marked on the aerial view when zooming
or roaming.
Web Check. Checks for the latest version of software.
Map separation. if you use several aerial photo files, records will only be
displayed for the file you are currently viewing.
And minor bug fixes.
For those that have FindSpot 1.1 read on.
There are a number of changes in 1.2.0, so make sure you make a copy of the \FSpot\fsdb\FSData.dat file and any ECW files before you do anything else. As I said, there are a number of changes so you will need to uninstall 1.1 before installing the new version.
Install steps.
1. Backup \FSpot\fsdb\FSData.dat, normally
under the Program Files directory.
2. Uninstall 1.1 through add and remove programs in the control panel.
3. Install 1.2.0.
4. Copy your backup of FSData.dat back into the \FSpot\fsdb directory.
5. Download this file and unzip it into the \FSpot directory.
Download FSData.dat update utility
6. Run update.exe (above)
7. Click on Add Map Fields. If there are errors then either Update.exe is not in
\FSpot or FSData.dat is missing
8. Click on Update Map Field Data
At this point you need to move forward/back through your records one at a time, clicking on the maps in the map list that represent your record location. If you only have one map then it's easy.

Old Versions of FindSpot
Download FindSpot 1.1 Beta (Full Install) 10.4 Mb
Extract this file to a temporary folder and run Setup.exe. Be sure to read the "Read this before installing" file.
If you have Beta 1.0 then place this Beta 1.1 Release 41Kb in the FSpot directory.
